The active Covid-19 cases increased for the 14th day in row and was tallied at 3,68,457. The recovery rate further dropped to 95.49 per cent, the Union Health Ministry data updated today at 8AM.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 23,64,38,861 samples were tested till March 23, of which 10,25,628 samples tested on Tuesday.

During the sweep of the pandemic last year, India’s COVID-19 numbers crossed the 20 lakh-mark on August 7, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5 and 50 lakh on September 16. It went past 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11, 80 lakh on October 29, 90 lakh on November 20 and surpassed the one crore-mark on December 19,2020.
