Google is making a foldable Pixel phone

Jon Prosser who is best known for his Apple-related leaks tweeted, “the google pixel fold is a real thing”.

When asked about the launch date for the phone, he tweeted that it will arrive late this year or early next year. Obviously it will go by a different name and not Pixel Fold.

The release of Android 10 already added support for foldable phones. Google’s Android operating system has native support for foldable devices with different folding patterns. Features for app continuity, resize and multi-window support for multiple apps are already baked into Android.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Samsung will be making the foldable OLED displays for Google, Xiaomi, and OPPO. The display is expected to have a high refresh rate like the Galaxy Z Fold 2. We do not know if it will have a design similar to the Galaxy Z Flip or Motorola Razr or a completely new design.

Tech-nerds are definitely excited to see Google’s first foldable phone as it will definitely have software features not available on other foldable phones powered by Android.
